About the role

  • Looking for an experienced Vehicle Assembly Engineer to manage and support vehicle assembly operations and ensure smooth, efficient, and quality-focused production.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day vehicle assembly line operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Monitor assembly processes as per SOPs, work instructions, process sheets, and quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production and assembly-related problems.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores, Purchase, and other departments.
  • Monitor manpower deployment and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
  • Support line balancing and cycle-time improvement initiatives.
  • Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain production reports, shift reports, process records, and other documentation.
  • Support new model introduction, process trials, and assembly line development.
  • Train and guide operators on assembly processes and standard work practices.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in vehicle assembly or automotive production.
  • Experience in two-wheeler, passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, EV, or automotive manufacturing will be preferred.
  • Experience in handling assembly lines, production targets, manpower, quality issues, and process improvements.
  • Experience with line balancing, cycle-time reduction, rejection/rework reduction, and Kaizen is an advantage.
  • Candidates from automotive OEMs or Tier-1 automotive manufacturing companies will be preferred.

Education
