NPD Manager(Steering Systems)

The Person will lead the complete development and industrialization of steering column manufacturing from customer RFQ to mass production. The role is responsible for project management, product engineering, customer coordination, process development, tooling readiness,PPAP approval, and successful SOP (Start of Production) launches. The incumbent will work closely with OEM customers, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and performance objectives are achieved.

- Accountable for PPAP run on shop floor with concern team
- Adherence to timeline of NPD programs
- Record data of proto & pilot batches as per quality planning

1-Accountable for new product development executions
- Preparation of proto & pilot samples for new products
- Verification of new tools and fixture with coordination team
- Assurance of proto & pilot batches as per quality planning
- Record TGW & TGR of program
- Focus on first time right product delivered to customers
2- Accountable for PPAP run on shop floor with concern team
- Plan and conduct PPAP run before SOP of product
- Preparation and submission of PPAP documentation along with QA team
- Record PPAP run issues data for continual improvement
- Corrective actions on process/product issues during development phase
3- Adherence to timeline of NPD program
- Adhere timeline of product development shared by program manager
- Coordination with shop team for execution of program
- Coordination and follow up with suppliers for timely submission of samples.
- Upgradation & support of supplier for development issues
4-Record data of proto and pilot batches as per quality planning
- Preparation of stage wise reports for quality controls
- PFD &Control plans for proto and pilot batch
- Child part inspection reports
- Final ISIR & relevant documents approved by quality head
5-Self-Management

- B.E./ B.Tech or M.Tech ( Mechanical Engineering).
- 812 years of experience in experience in steering systems, steering columns,automotive safety systems, chassis components, or precision automotive assemblies.
- AutoCAD, Excel-WORD-Power Point, Engineering BOM, PPAP, Engineering Drawing, Layout Inspection, Welding technology, Paint Technology.
Education
UG: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
