About the role

  • Looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer – Quality. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products meet defined quality standards and customer requirements.
  • The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of quality control systems, inspection techniques, engineering drawings, and problem-solving methodologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection of components/products.
  • Inspect products as per drawings, specifications, control plans, and quality standards.
  • Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Gauges, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
  • Identify and report quality issues, defects, and process deviations.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Assist in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of quality management systems.
  • Assist in preparation of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC and other quality-related documents, as applicable.
  • Monitor rejection, rework, and customer complaints and support corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and customer requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of 7 QC Tools.
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis.
  • Knowledge of SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan and PPAP is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on knowledge of measuring instruments.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and production environment.
